On January 12, 2023, an enlightening event titled “Presentation about Birds” took place at Panchayath Union Middle School in Manmalai Village, Kallakurichi District. This event was conducted by the Kuyili Organization and held in commemoration of “World Wetland Day.”
The primary focus of the event was to raise awareness about the significance of birds and wetlands in our ecosystem. With the participation of 70 students, the event provided a platform to educate young minds about the crucial roles that birds and wetlands play in maintaining biodiversity.
Held at the Panchayath Union Middle School in the heart of Manmalai Village, the event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility for the conservation of these vital habitats. Through an engaging photo print presentation, the students were introduced to the diversity of bird species and the critical importance of wetlands in supporting their habitats.
The presentation not only showcased the beauty and variety of birds but also emphasized the ecosystem services that wetlands provide, such as water purification, flood control, and as havens for biodiversity.
