On February 21, 2022, a significant event titled “Presentation about Birds and Forest” was conducted by the “Kuyili” Organization in collaboration with AKT Engineering College in Kallakurichi District. This event was organized in commemoration of both “World Sparrow Day” and “World Forest Day.”
Held within the premises of AKT Engineering College, the event aimed to enlighten and educate students about the importance of birds and forests in our ecosystem. With a participation of 200 students, the event provided a platform to impart knowledge about the vital roles that birds and forests play in maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance.
The event was meticulously organized to celebrate and honor the beauty and significance of both sparrows and forests. Through an engaging and informative photo presentation, students were introduced to the diverse species of birds and the vital roles they play in pollination, insect control, and ecosystem health. The presentation also highlighted the importance of forests as habitats for various species and their role in carbon sequestration, water regulation, and overall environmental well-being.
By aligning the event with “World Sparrow Day” and “World Forest Day,” the organizers emphasized the global importance of these ecological components and their interconnectedness.
